 so its official, im now apart of the htdjs family and i couldnt be happier. this has always been something ive wanted to do and scarlett made this possible. june 26th 2010 marked iris’s birthday and my big hosting debut.

this night was a challenge to see if i can survive the night without a drink, and i must say i think i did a pretty damn good job by only having half a cup of champagne which is the equivalent to a full cup of martinelli’s apple cider. this night help me realize i dont need any alcohol or substance to have a good time i just need my friends and positive energy.

that night was such a relief, valentino finally hooked up with a girl and i got to see a lot of faces i havent seen in a long time. thanks to my dear friend keyla for giving me an amazing outfit and to all the compliments and energy i recieved that night. i love you all….

i must say im really going to miss my closet, it made finding an outfit so easy because nothing was hidden from me. that misfits vest was one of the first things i had ever made in my life. i was actually very proud of it when i finished. 

im not sure exactly how i acquired all four twilight books but i wish i would’ve got a chance to read them but those damn movies keep coming out so fast and it make it pointless to read them. and i got that little rabbit figure from the fairfax flea market they wanted 14 dollars (fuck that) but i gave them a dollar for it. i’ve also come to the conclusion that i was 62 year old jewish woman in my past life.

im really going to miss all the after parties and beautiful faces that would swing by every now and again, hell im even going to miss all the ants that called that place home too and the amazing trails they would make to get to what ever food was left in my room.

this place did motivate to do better for myself, i did deal with certain issues for a while and im glad i finally decided to stop complaining and actually do something about the situation. it sucks i couldnt call this place home for long but moving will put me in a happier place not only physically but mentally as well.

   so this past sunday edmond and i hit up the good ol’ fairfax flea market, i was on the hunt for a leather bag and dresser. while edmond was on a mission for some jewelry to take with him to his new home in new york and boy did we find some….

that stuff was definitly not in my budget, but edmond of course walked away with an amazing ring and braclet. but i was still on the hunt and i wasnt leaving until i found a necklace fit for me.

and i did from paco montestruque of fleamarketgirl.com he had some really cute things for some pretty damn good prices and even made the chain on necklace longer. and i think would make a great power couple hah!

   so much shit to do this week, well not really but i have some very important things to do this week. my friend val from new york is staying with me next month for his 23rd birthday and i am super excited but i need to get all this shit done before he comes.

 i must say may 14th got the award for best friday of may. i usually choose to stay home on fridays. but this night was a special occassion. it was the grand opening of weltenbueger and future home of my clothing (that i do not have a name for yet).

this store had a little bit of everything from basics to eclectic vintage pieces and not to mention the free beer and wine that i tried not to take advantage of. i met some new faces, and saw some familiar ones as well which made things even better.

frankie (far left) had to be the cutest guy there at the time, i enjoyed his presence and the complements he gave me. by this time it was 11:30 and the party was over but my inbox was getting full from reminders from edmond to come to his shin dig in echo park.so dee and i finished our beers and headed over there with jonathan and roberto.

that night definitly took a toll on me, i did enough to last me the whole weekend. that night is the reason why im sitting here blogging and preventing a hang over in the morning. i didn’t go to sleep til 6 knowing i had work in the morning.

i’m glad i got to spend that time with dee, although we have our differences on certain subjects all of it gets put to the side once i’m around her. have you ever met one of those people that make you stop and ask how you got blessed with such a spirit? well that’s how she got me feelin’
